A few plain rules keep this a place people trust. They apply to every farm and every buyer.
If you list a farm

Sell eggs your own flock laid
This is a directory of local flocks. Don't resell eggs you bought elsewhere, and don't list anything that isn't eggs.

Post what you really have, today
Buyers drive out on the strength of your post. Mark a kind sold out when it runs out, and don't post eggs you won't have.

Declare your status honestly
Say whether you sell under your state's small-flock exemption or hold a permit, and keep it current. Follow your state's rules on selling eggs. Here's a plain summary.

Answer your requests
Accept or decline within the day. A quick "no, sorry" beats silence. Once you accept, be there when you said.

Charge what you posted
The price on your page is the price at pickup. No surprise fees, and no asking buyers to pay ahead through a link.

Keep buyers' details to yourself
Use a buyer's name, email and phone to arrange their pickup, and for nothing else.

Ask for what you'll pick up
A farm sets eggs aside for you. If your plans change, tell the farm.

Pay the farm as agreed
Bring the money you agreed on. Nobody on this site will ask you to pay online.

The address is for you alone
Many farms are someone's home. Don't share a pickup address or turn up outside the time you agreed.

Be kind
These are small farms and backyard flocks. Some days the hens don't cooperate.
When something goes wrong
If a farm or a buyer breaks these rules, tell us. We read every report. We may hide a listing while we look into it, and remove a farm that keeps breaking them.
